  • When employees feel comfortable asking for help, sharing suggestions informally, or challenging the status quo without fear of negative social consequences, it not only positively impacts their mental health but it creates a better working relationship between employees and the companies they serve. What impostor syndrome is and how it impacts Black women.

Tools and resources on how to overcome a fixed mindset.

The most common limiting beliefs Black women face at work and how to change them.

  • Due to external factors, racial and economic disparities being the most prevalent, Black children are often forced to complete instrumental and emotional tasks around their home as a means of survival. Parentification is the process of role reversal and/or distorted boundaries within the parent child relationship. In other words, children take on adult responsibilities before they are developmentally ready to do so.

Adultification is a form of bias that can show up in two ways. First, when children are functioning at a more mature developmental stage because of necessity and situational circumstances, especially in low resource communities. Second, adultification shows up as a social or cultural stereotype based on how children are perceived and seen on the outside by other adults. This second manifestation is primarily based on race.

In this talk, Montina guides the audience thorough:

The 4 step approach that will help you think differently about who you are and what relationships you have in your life.

Explaining the different types of parentification, the uniqueness of each experience, and the mental health impact of both.

How to end the devastating mental health impact of both parentification and adultification.

  • Sometimes as women, we are blindsided in relationships with toxic behaviors from our partners or even within ourselves. Sometimes it’s because we ignored the previous red flags. In this talk, Montina guides the audience through:

Insights to help you reflect on and access inner strength and resiliency to create reciprocal relationships

The secret to moving forward in healthy relationships with unseen and unaddressed emotional scars

Education on what a healthy relationship actually is and how to embrace it when you’ve never seen it or experienced it
